With so much tension in the air in this Great Year of 2020, we can easily simplify this by envisioning two camps and how they will choose to proceed at a collective-level. Anger, aggression, and frustration may arise, yet in these more ‘lower-vibed’ states can be misdirected, haphazard, and reactionary – a ‘me-focus’, rather than what is good for all involved. On the more unconscious side of things, we can be impulsive, irrational and reactionary with little understanding of who we are deep inside and where we want to go, we can tend to get easily side-swiped into the wrong direction, letting our egos take the lead rather than our hearts. Anger, aggression, and sex-drive (because Mars rules that too) are redirected into passionate desires and ambitions. We direct our lives by ensuring a ‘win-win’ situation for all, having the foresight to include this as part of the intention we are leading with. On the more conscious side, this speaks of our ability to take leadership and responsibility for the direction our lives are headed in we have the fire and passion within us to initiate new plans of action with a strong knowing of who we are and what we want to achieve. As with all signs/planets, there are good (aka conscious) and not so good (aka unconscious) aspects to Mars/Aries. Post-Retrograde (November 14th-January 3rd)Īries is ruled by Mars, so this is ‘home-turf’ for Mars, the warrior planet that represents our ambition, drive and what/how we choose to pursue.
Retrograde (September 10th – November 14th).Pre-Retrograde (July 25th – September 10th).The Pre-Retrograde phase often has us stepping in ‘energetic doo-doo’ that then we must work to clean up during the Retrograde phase, and then it is in the Post-Retrograde phase that we get the chance to let the universe know we have learned the lesson by facing tests to see how well we have learned our lessons. It is often mistaken that the Retrograde Phase is the most important phase, however all three have something meaningful to teach us. The full extent of its Retrograde Season will not officially complete until January 3rd, 2021 which means we are in it for the long-haul from now until the beginning of next year.īut first…a little Retrograde Background…. Mars enters its Pre-Shadow (aka Pre-Retrograde) phase on July 25th which will go until September 10th, when it officially goes Retrograde in its home-sign of Aries.
